MILE DEEp (Mineral IncLusion Elasticity for a new deep subDuction gEobaromEter) is the acronym for a 3-year scientific research project funded by the Italian Ministry for Research and University (MIUR) in the framework of the S.I.R. call (Scientific Independence of young Researchers).

The total amount of 449.900€ has been granted to M. Alvaro to carry out a 3-year research project aimed to the development of elastic geobarometry method for host-inclusion in the geological context of Ultra-High-Pressure (UHP) metamorphic rocks (project code RBSI140351).

The research is mainly carried out at the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Pavia, Italy.
